What is already on a profile
- 01Shop domain, app, country and lifecycle status
- 02Current plan and subscription evidence
- 03Recurring revenue and realized lifetime value by currency
- 04Transactions, usage and lifecycle timeline
- 05Paying-customer explanation and reporting inclusion
- 06Source and effective store classification
Add a note
- 01Open Customers and choose the verified merchant
- 02Find Notes and tags
- 03Record the decision, context or next follow-up
- 04Do not paste passwords, API credentials or unnecessary sensitive personal data
- 05Submit the note and confirm its timestamp
Notes are team-scoped and append-only in this version. Viewers can read them; members, admins and owners can add them. Each note captures the customer tags present when it was written.
Tag and find customers
- 01Enter up to 20 comma-separated tags
- 02Use short operational labels such as high value or needs review
- 03Save the customer record
- 04Return to Customers and choose the tag filter
- 05Search also matches tag text
- 06Export the filtered customer list when a portable review is needed
Tags are normalised to lowercase and included in customer CSV exports. Synced source tags remain separate from manual team tags, and both appear in search.
Save a segment
- 01Choose search, lifecycle, billing, app and tag filters
- 02Enter a clear segment name
- 03Select Save current filters
- 04Reload the segment later from the team list
- 05Delete a saved segment when it is obsolete
A segment stores filters, not a frozen customer list. Applying it reruns the filters against current synced data. Deleting a segment does not delete or change any customer record.
Read acquisition evidence
When a retained authoritative server event matches the merchant ID or .myshopify.com domain, the profile can show its tracking source, first browser capture, UTM context and latest server milestone. It can also show matching affiliate lifecycle and Google Ads conversion diagnostics when those features are configured.
- 01Browser activity alone does not establish an installed or paying merchant
- 02Raw acquisition and Google click identifiers are not displayed on the profile
- 03Displayed landing and referrer URLs omit query strings and fragments
- 04Acquisition evidence is retained for 180 days
- 05After evidence expires, Marlo reports the source as unknown instead of inferring one
A practical weekly review
- 01Open a saved high-value or needs-review segment
- 02Confirm billing, currency and reporting scope
- 03Read the latest lifecycle and transaction evidence
- 04Check retained acquisition or affiliate context when present
- 05Add a concise dated note with the next decision
- 06Export the filtered list only when another system needs it
Limits
- 01Marlo is not a shared support inbox or email sequencer
- 02Notes do not send messages or trigger workflows
- 03Segments update as customer data changes
- 04Acquisition depends on a correctly preserved first-party handoff and authoritative server events
- 05Google Ads evidence requires a separately configured connection
- 06The latest completed Shopify sync remains the source for Partner billing and lifecycle data
