Seven-day trial
Stripe collects a payment method when the trial begins. Checkout shows the selected plan, billing interval, amount and first charge date. Unless the subscription is cancelled before the trial ends, Stripe charges the displayed monthly or annual amount, plus applicable tax, when the seven-day trial expires.
Cancel in the Stripe billing portal before the precise trial-end time shown there to prevent the first charge.
How to cancel
- Sign in at app.withmarlo.app.
- Open Settings and choose Manage billing in Stripe.
- Select cancellation and confirm the effective date shown by Stripe.
A team owner or administrator can access billing. If you cannot access the workspace, email hello@builtbyjames.co.uk from the account email before the relevant renewal time.
Monthly and annual renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval selected at checkout until cancelled. A paid cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, so access normally continues until that date and no further renewal is taken.
The portal is the source of truth for the exact renewal date, cancellation date and amount.
Plan changes
The Stripe portal may allow switching between Marlo, Marlo Pro, monthly and annual billing. Stripe shows the change before confirmation. Upgrades, downgrades or interval changes may create an immediate prorated invoice or credit while keeping the existing billing-cycle anchor.
Refunds
Because Marlo provides immediate access to a business software service, charges are normally non-refundable once a trial or renewal has completed. We do not provide partial refunds or credits for unused time after a paid cancellation.
This does not affect any refund required by law. We will also investigate duplicate charges, an amount different from the confirmed checkout or portal amount, or a charge made after a cancellation completed before the applicable deadline. Report a suspected billing error promptly to hello@builtbyjames.co.uk.
Failed payments
Stripe may retry a failed payment and ask the team administrator to update the payment method. Marlo may limit access while a subscription is past due and may terminate it if payment is not resolved.
Business use
Marlo subscriptions are offered for business purposes, not consumer use. Mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded still apply. This policy forms part of the Marlo Terms of Service.
